If you get a hotel room right above the hotel's kitchen...?

If you happened to get a hotel room right above the hotel's kitchen, and you can hear noises through the floor until about 11:30 pm at night, would you complain and ask to move to another room? The noises consist of the kitchen's exhaust fan, banging pots and pans, voices, and one of the lamp shades vibrates all day until the kitchen closes down for the night.

Do you think that a hotel should even have hotel room located right above a kitchen? If you get a hotel room right above the hotel's kitchen...?
Funny you ask this, we got a complaint last week about being too loud in the kitchen. Night Auditors (me) @ our hotel have to get breakfast started @ 4 am every morning. And it does get a little loud. Sometimes your in such a rush you don't realize that we are the only ones up at that hour and we should be quite. But we have a job to do and it HAS to get done.

All you have to do is call down and ask them to move you, your not going to be comfortable in that room. And it's the hotel's job to make sure you are. It's no big deal to us we would much rather deal w/ the loss of one room then pay for a complaint. They cost a lot more in the long run.

Also the kitchen has to be somewhere, it's going to get loud and people ain't going to like it. But now you know where you don't want to stay so request that when you make reservations. Also another place you never want to stay is around the pool room or above it. 600 kids in one room can get loud. I always put people on the highest floor if they are looking for quite. Nobody above you and only other rooms below you. Also stay away from rooms next to the elevator. If you get a hotel room right above the hotel's kitchen...?
Yes i will complain, and ask to be move to another room our family did it before it was to much noise in the kitchen and yes to closed to the pool and elevator is not good . I put in a complain and the hotel gave me the half of the money back for my suit case.
I would, but then again i would also ask for a free 3 night stay in their most expensive room :)
yes

no
I would be up all night and demand my money back or there will be trouble... BANG!
not if noise is an issue! i'd ask for a free night! hehe
