everytime i open that drawer i gotta see that garbage in there? those losers are so desperate that they need converts so they leave there garbage in every room. What losers.Why do christians leave a bible in every hotel room? Do they expect me to read that garbage?

For some traveler who may have forgotten theirs if they where in a rush. Hoping to reach someone who does not know God. And obviously to irratate you. Actually, in the end, you will be the loser. THEN STOP OPENING THAT DRAWER!
Not so much that it is expected of you. But it is there you should have the desire to read it. Some people (like me) find comfort in the words of the Holy Bible, especially when I am far from home and those I love.





But man, why do they leave those phone books in those drawers? Are they just trying to tempt me to order pizza and cheat on my diet? The nerve of those phone book people





Same logic.....no one forces me to order pizza. no one forces you to read the bible. Or look in the drawers for that matter!

the first three ppl who answered this questions are completed embicles because its not garbage but a good book to learn morals and values from. Also the important thing it teaches how to get closer to god and live a clean live as Jesus Christ did. Now from me reading your comments i can see that you three have no respect and probably dont have good enstilled values from a young age.

You are the loser, you are so lost you cannot understand that the hotel's have them in there so if you choose you may read one. But, instead of complaining to the hotel you vent your anger towards Christians that has done nothing to you. If you feel it is garbage and do not desire to read it, just leave it alone, you know it's in there don't open that drawer, go to another drawer.
They left it there. You make the choice to read it or not.


They provided it for you.


Now you have made the determination that it is garbage.


That is the choice you made.


No one is going to force you to read it.
You aren't expected to read garbage, read the Bible, God's love letter to you. By the way, how did you come to your conclusion about the Bible being garbage? By reading a wide range of materials and making an informed rational decision? Or perhaps just hearing what other uninformed people claimed.?
A Christian group, called the Gideons, donates bibles to be placed in every motel/hotel room just in case you WANT to read it.





Nobody says you have to read it. Just put it back in the drawer for the next occupant.
We are not desperate to ';convert'; you. The fact is we care for your soul.
One of these days you are going to be in a hotel room and your heart is going to be broken over something. You are going to remember that ';book'; in the drawer. You will then open that drawer and take out the book and read it and understand it and God will heal you. You will be saved through your faith in Jesus Christ.

how can you call the bible garbage? with all the trash that is on tv with all the crime with all the hatefulness in this world you want to call God's word garbage? it would not hurt you to read it in fact it might help YOU GET RID OF SOME OF THE ANGER

What if the American Nazi Party kept leaving their literature in every hotel room ?
They leave a phone book too, do you sit down and read that as well or maybe just use it if needed, and if you do its there for the use?


Do you think they just ran and put it there to tick ';you'; off because they saw you coming? You must think pretty highly of yourself to believe they were targeting you, or else you must be pretty scared wondering how someone that doesn't even know you actually knows you need help? Amazing isn't it?

What if a group of people wanted to donate, say, Hustler magazine in case you wanted to read it? How many people would be offended at that trash being there for their convenience ?

It is ';sad'; to see even one soul ';lost'; because we didnt get the Word to them! So, the Giddeons have provided ample opportunity for each of you who are traveling to not be ';with out';, the Word of GOD!

Not saying that I agree with the practice. I just throw the thing into a drawer that I am not going to be using.

Just like they leave a t.v in every room. Does that mean you have to read it. Maybe because they know the mass majority of American are Christians. Or maybe to give you a conscience so you little thieves would stop stealing towels...lol
If it takes being seen as a loser in your eyes to be found acceptable in the Lord's eyes, that is a price I am gladly willing to pay. Thus, I will accept your ridicule knowing that my heavenly Father is pleased with me when I demonstrate patience with you and your lack of knowledge.





Since the Lord has commanded me to love and pray for those that speak evil of me, I will pray for you this day. He tells me to follow His example in that He is even kind to the ungrateful and wicked. As you are ungrateful for the gift of God's word to you, you clearly fall in this category.





He is waiting for you to acknowledge your need, let go of your bitterness, and return to Him. He will accept you if you take this step of faith and seek Him with your whole heart.
You really need to focus on your anger issues before you worry about what the Christians are doing to you.
why do the hotel employees put soap in the bathroom? if you want to use it then use it if you don't want to then don't. the same thing they do with the bible, they put it there in case you want to read it, if you don't let it there.
