Hotels Rooms and Occupation?

I would like know about hotel rooms when they are not in service. Can or does management switch off power and water to the rooms when no one is occupying them? I'm working on a book and just needed some details. Thanks!Hotels Rooms and Occupation?
When I worked in hotels we did not do this. I do know that some hotels if they are having a whole floor done might turn off some of the services. Of course I would turn the lights off in unoccupied rooms but not the service all together. Hope this helps!Hotels Rooms and Occupation?
i work for hojos. no we do not turn off the water.we do have house keeping turn off the heat and air when they clean a room a guest has checked out of. when we know one of our regulars are coming in we do go and turn there heat or air on about an hour before they are due to check in.....
general not the power but for sure heat and air. Why would any one pay for this if not in use?
