You should look at hostels. There are some really nice ones and you can even get your own room with bed and breakfast and its only about 拢20! When I stay in London I stay at a place called Ashlee House its really nice there :) and its right in the center... like two mins away from Kings Cross Station.
I think you will have great difficulties finding hotel in such a short notice for that much money. Anyhow try;
