Do you need a credit card to get a hotel room?

also do you have to be 18 or 21Do you need a credit card to get a hotel room?
I have worked in the hotel industry since 1985 so I can answer this question for you. It depends on the specific hotel policy. Some hotels accept cash w/o a deposit, some hotels require an additional deposit along with full cash payment, some hotels require a valid credit card at check in (that gets authorized for room, tax and incidentals) then allow you to pay cash at check out at such time any hold on a credit card gets released.

Some hotels require you to be at least 18 and some require you to be 21.

The hotel I work at you must be at least 21 and have a valid credit card.Do you need a credit card to get a hotel room?
Hotels will accept cash but you will need to be at least 18 (some hotels require that you be 21) to rent a room.

You will need to show the hotel ID and pay up front but you shouldn't have any trouble as long as your old enough.

The people saying you must have a credit card are wrong. If you had a business would you turn away a customer with a handful of cash because you will only accept credit cards? I don't thinks so..

..
Yes, 18 YO. If you try to pay for a room with cash, you'll have to show your Drivers License and other ID.
18 or 21? Try 25. Yes, 25 is fast becoming the age to rent hotels and cars.

Yes you will need a credit card.

Cheers
Depends on what kind of hotel it is. Also are you looking at days, one nite or maybe just a few hours. LOL
Yes. Hotels these days won't look at you unless you have a credit card.
Yes
